WELLBEING IS NOT A #DESTINATION, BUT A WAY OF #LIVING

Global Wellness Day

As we approach the month of June, we proudly reflect on our role as the Swedish ambassadors for the international organization Global Wellness Day , a position we have held since 2018.

Global Wellness Day is a worldwide initiative dedicated to promoting the importance of living well and improving our overall quality of life. Celebrated annually on the second Saturday of June, this day aims to inspire people to prioritize their health and wellbeing by making small, sustainable changes to their lifestyles. The concept behind Global Wellness Day is to raise awareness about the value of wellness and to encourage individuals to adopt habits that enhance their physical, mental, and emotional health.

The origins of Global Wellness Day trace back to 2012 when it was founded by Belgin Aksoy in Turkey. Her vision was to create a day that highlights the significance of living a healthier and better life. Since then, the movement has gained international recognition and support, with events and activities organized in various countries to promote wellness practices.

The motto of Global Wellness Day, “One day can change your whole life,” encapsulates the idea that even small steps taken towards wellness can have a significant impact on our overall wellbeing. It serves as a reminder to pause, take care of ourselves, and embrace a more balanced and health-conscious lifestyle.

Global Wellness Day espouses and lives the same values as Winning Tribe and just as we, aim to see people take small steps to improve their overall wellbeing and quality of life. This year theme of GWD is #MagentaNature, it revolves around the central idea of reconnecting with nature, and we support this important act as connecting with nature is not only an activity but a way of thinking.
